With over 15 years of experience as a small business owner and active involvement in business associations, Cheryl Bean is a proven advocate for pro-business policies and fiscal responsibility. Her advocacy for the building and housing industry at the state level demonstrates her commitment to creating a thriving business environment in Texas.
Cheryl Bean The Pro-Business Candidate
As Texas continues to shine as a beacon of economic opportunity, I am deeply committed to sustaining and enhancing our prosperity through strategic leadership and thoughtful policies. My extensive experience as a business owner and my steadfast conservative values have shaped my clear vision for our state’s economic future—a future where businesses flourish, innovation thrives, and opportunities abound.
Championing a Business-Friendly Environment
At the core of my economic policy is a commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment. This means reducing burdensome taxes, eliminating unnecessary regulations, and supporting entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes. I understand the critical role businesses play in driving economic growth, and that’s why I advocate for measures such as lowering property taxes and abolishing the franchise tax. My goal is to alleviate financial pressures on businesses, making it easier for them to expand and succeed.
Supporting Small and medium-sized enterprises
I am particularly focused on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), recognizing the unique challenges they face. My approach includes targeted initiatives to help these vital components of our economy. By addressing high property taxes and advocating for the elimination of the estate tax, I aim to ensure that family-owned businesses and farms can thrive across generations, contributing to our state’s economic diversity and resilience.
Infrastructure Investment: Laying the Foundation for Growth
Investment in robust infrastructure is another cornerstone of my vision for Texas. I support significant investments in transportation, utilities, and digital connectivity to enhance commerce, improve connectivity, and maintain Texas’s pro-business stance to the nation as a destination for business investment and expansion. Through strategic infrastructure development, we can bolster our position as a leader in commerce and innovation.
A Conservative Economic Roadmap for Texas
My economic roadmap for Texas is built on conservative principles that prioritize fiscal responsibility, economic freedom, and the prosperity of all Texans. By championing policies that are pro-business, I am committed to leading our state toward a future marked by robust economic growth, job creation, and enhanced competitiveness on both a national and global stage.
Looking forward to 2024 and beyond, I am confident that my leadership and economic strategies offer a promising path for Texas—where businesses prosper, communities thrive, and the Lone Star State continues to shine as a model of economic success.

Law Enforcement
I am a strong supporter of law enforcement and oppose the "Defund the Police" movement. I believe in the rule of law and appreciate the dedication of law enforcement officers who work tirelessly to maintain safety and security. As a candidate, I am committed to advocating for the resources and policies that support our law enforcement community in their crucial role.
School Choice
As a member on the board of a charter school, and as a parent and grandparent myself, I believe strongly in educational freedom and giving parents the power to decide what school is best for their children. Opportunity for a quality education should not be exclusive. Every child should be given the chance to succeed. Additionally, we owe it to the future generation to safeguard their innocence by keeping explicit material out of their young hands.
Upholding the Freedoms of Life & Liberty
Texas is now the most pro-life, pro-gun, pro-freedom state in the nation. We fought hard to get here, and the left is going to fight just as hard to roll back those freedoms. We can’t let our guard down when it comes to protecting our God-given constitutional rights.
Lowering Taxes & Helping Small Business
There is no question that property taxes in Texas are high. Texans everywhere– especially homeowners and small businesses— are demanding solutions. I know because I see it every day in my own home build and development business. We need to keep Texas moving in a prosperous direction, and the only way to do that is to keep taxes and regulations low.
Election Integrity
In our democratic society, the sanctity of the electoral process is paramount. It’s the thread that weaves together our freedom and governance. My commitment to political and election integrity is rooted in the belief that fair and transparent elections are the foundation of our democracy.
Texas Border Security
It is an undisputed fact that an insecure border leads to insecurity within the entire state. I agree with Gov. Abbott that we should complete the physical barrier between Texas and Mexico in order to fight against the drugs, human trafficking, and illegal immigration that threatens the security of Texas residents.
Defending Texans from Foreign Threats
Texas is suffering under a broken border. Drugs and human traffickers are pouring into our state. China is staking claim our land. With experience in the defense industry, I understand what it takes to protect our state from foreign threats. We need to act smart and act now to stop the crisis at the Mexico-United States Border from becoming dangerously irreversible and to keep foreign threats out of our state.
District 97 is located Southwest of Fort Worth and covers the Benbrook and Crowley areas. Craig Goldman previously held the seat and has left it to run for Congress. Cheryl will face two opponents in the Republican primary, which is projected to have a turnout of 25,000 voters.
State of the Race
In the first 24 hours of the campaign, Cheryl Bean for Texas 97th team raised $100,000 in the fight to represent your values. Shortly after this campaign launched, Cheryl was awarded major endorsements from Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hare, Former State House Representative Matt Krause, current State Representative Nate Schatzline, the immediate past Chairman of the Tarrant County GOP, and Texas Values.
Cheryl Bean will toe the line on the most conservative issues that Texans care about but also has the experience necessary to get the job done.
